On Sunday, October 23, 2022 at approximately 2:47 PM, Fullerton Police Officers responded to the area of Harbor Blvd and La Entrada regarding reports of a traffic collision.

Upon arrival, Officers located three vehicles with major damage. A dark grey Kia Forte and a grey Volkswagen Passat were located north of the intersection, and a red Dodge Neon was located near the intersection of Harbor Blvd and Hermosa Drive.

Fullerton Fire responded and immediately began life-saving measures. The driver of the dark grey Kia Forte, a 29-year-old male Hispanic, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and passenger from the grey Volkswagen Passat, and a passenger in the red Dodge Neon were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.

Initial investigation revealed the dark grey Kia Forte was travelling northbound on Harbor Blvd at a high a rate of speed when it struck the grey Volkswagen Passat as it made an eastbound turn onto La Entrada from southbound Harbor Blvd. The force of the collision caused both vehicles to hit a wall on the northeast corner of the intersection, spin out, and come to rest north of the intersection near a bus bench.

Also travelling northbound on Harbor Blvd at approximately the same time was a red Dodge Neon. In an apparent attempt to avoid the collision between the other two vehicles, the driver veered out of the way and then lost control of the vehicle, coming to rest near the intersection of Harbor Blvd and Hermosa Drive.

While Accident Investigators are working determine the cause of the collision, they do not believe alcohol or drugs played a part in the collision.

The identity of deceased 29-year-old male will be released by the Orange County Coroner at a time they deem appropriate.
