Parking Recreational Vehicles (RV) in Fullerton

In order to improve the quality of community and preserve safety in the City of Fullerton, the City Council has approved a parking prohibition of all recreational vehicles, as defined, on all city streets and private roadways in Fullerton unless a permit has been issued. The following is guidance to the ordinance and the permitting process. Permit support is available Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, excluding holidays.  support@getapermit.net

The City of Fullerton prohibits the parking of a recreational vehicle (RV) on any city street, private street, alley, city parking facility or city property that does not have a valid RV parking permit issued by Fullerton Police Department. (8.46.030 FMC)

 

Obtaining a Permit

Permits will be issued in accordance with the information above.  The entire process may be conducted by email. Please note that it will take up to four (4) business days to process an email application.

NO PERMITS WILL BE ISSUED or PROCESSED ON WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS

Reduced staffing may delay issuance.

 

Resident Permit

-Per the ordinance, each resident may be issued no more than four (4) temporary RV parking permits per calendar month.

 

Out of Town Permit

-Per the ordinance, temporary RV parking permits issued to out-of-town visitors shall not exceed seven (7) consecutive days per month and fifty (50) days per calendar year, per residential address.

*No more than one temporary RV parking permit, whether issued to a resident or an out-of-town visitor, shall be issued per residential address at any given time.*

 

Permit Display

The printed permit must be displayed on the lower right portion of the windshield. If not legible from ground level, the permit must be displayed on the right front passenger side window. If an issued RV permit is not displayed or is not legible the RV may be cited.

RV Complaints

If there is a life safety problem, call 911. Should you have a RV that is parked and is blocking a driveway, is leaking fluids into gutter or roadway, or is a traffic or pedestrian hazard please call Fullerton Police Department.
