The Fullerton Fire Department aims to plan and coordinate the highest quality prehospital and emergency medical care in response to individual needs or community crisis.

In 2021, the Fullerton Fire Department was recognized by the American Heart Association for following the latest research-based standards for severe heart attacks with the Gold Plus Achievement Award. This award indicates that FFD has both-

• Reached the aggressive goal of treating patients with 85% or higher compliance to core standard levels of care as outline by the American Heart Association/American Stoke Association for 2 consecutive years

• Demonstrated 75% compliance to (4/10 heart failure quality measures or 4/7 stroke quality measures) during a 12 month period
