The initial success of the command staff merger has included a 2015 Helen Putnam Award and a 2016 Golden Hub Award. As this merger continues to reflect positive growth, and in an effort to maintain current savings while looking for additional efficiencies, the cities of Fullerton and Brea have contracted with two consultants to look into the feasibility of a potential full Fire Department merger, while simultaneously looking into ambulance transportation alternatives.

The City Council has scheduled a study session to hear a presentation and receive community input on the feasibility of a potential full Fire Department merger and ambulance transportation alternatives. The session will be held on January 24th at 5 p.m. at the Fullerton Public Library. The information to be presented at the study session, as well as additional information about the JPA can be found below.
