On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at approximately 12:31 PM, Fullerton Police Officers responded to Palm St. and Imperial Hwy. regarding a traffic collision. Upon arrival, officers found a gray 2017 Mini Cooper and a white 2016 Peterbilt combination semi-truck and tractor trailer involved in the collision. The Mini Cooper sustained substantial front-end damage.

The driver and sole occupant of the Mini Cooper had been traveling westbound on Imperial Hwy. when, for unknown reasons, it veered out of the number one lane into the center median, striking the back of the semi-truck trailer.

At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the cause of the collision.

The identity of the deceased will be released by the Orange County Coroner upon notification of the next of kin.
