Certain offenses carry a requirement that the offender register with the Police Department in the jurisdiction that they live. The registration process is typically a condition of the sentence or probation status of the offender. Typical offender registration is required for offenses related to sex crimes, gang crimes, narcotic offenses and arson offenses. In the event that a person is required to register, an appointment must be made.

Note: If you are required to register, pursuant to conditions of the Court:

• Do not wait until the last minute to make your appointment, or you may risk violating the terms of your release/probation.
• Failure or refusal to provide accurate information during your registration may constitute a failure to register and result in the Courts being notified that you failed to meet the terms of your release.
