Unless posted, all streets within the City of Fullerton restrict on-street parking between the hours of 2:00am and 5:00am (Fullerton Municipal Code Section 8.44.080). On occasion, residents may have need to park a vehicle on the street overnight, but risk being issued a parking citation by doing so. On those occasions, a resident may request a No-Cite Permit, which can be placed in the window of the vehicle, thereby avoiding the risk of being issued a citation.

Who Can Request a No-Cite Permit?

Requests can be made by residents of the City of Fullerton, and are generally for the location in front of their residence.

How Do I Request a No-Cite Permit?

Since the requestor will be issued an actual permit, they must come to the Fullerton Police Department Front Counter to make the request. Please be sure to have the following information with you to speed the process:

  • License or VIN# of the Vehicle
  • Make, Model and Color of the Vehicle

There are certain actions that will cause the permit to become void and may result in the issuance of a parking citation. The following may result in the permit becoming void:

  • If the permit has been altered in any way
  • If the permit is placed in such a way as to obstruct the view of the VIN#
  • If the vehicle is unregistered
  • If the vehicle is a Commercial Vehicle
  • If the vehicle is used as a residence
  • If the vehicle is subject to section 8.30.050(A)(B) of the Municipal Code, restricting commercial vehicle parking.

Residents with questions related to issuance of No-Cite Permits may call the Fullerton Police Department at (714) 738-6800.
