In 2007 she became a Certified Trauma Nurse and was promoted to Charge Nurse.  She returned to Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital in Newport Beach in 2010.  Rhonda was promoted to Base Hospital Coordinator which involved the training and education of new MICNs, acting as liaison between Orange County Emergency Medical Services and the hospital as well as between local Fire Departments, EMS providers and the hospital in 2014.

The following year, she was offered a position as the EMS Manager for the Fullerton Fire Department.
