Beautiful stone steps adorn Hillcrest Park, which served as an Auto Park until 1930. Centrally located in the City, this scenic park is filled with mature shade trees and large picnic areas that are perfect for any social outing. Scattered throughout the park are several war memorials dedicated to the Fullerton residents who served the country in a major war.

The latest renovations at Hillcrest Park are the restoration of the 1920's era Works Progress Administration (WPA) historic fountain and surrounding stonework completed in May 2018. The fountain project included major improvements to the Great Lawn and the barranca, and the creation of an inviting grand entrance on Harbor Blvd. The “Hillcrest Stairs,” which opened in 2017, features a network of seven-foot wide timber stairs, connecting Lions Field to Hillcrest Park. It attracts health and fitness enthusiasts and offers visitors new viewing decks.
