Grand Re-Opening Celebration of Hunt Branch Library in the City of Fullerton

FULLERTON, CA (APRIL 9, 2024) – The City of Fullerton is thrilled to announce the grand re-opening celebration of the beloved Hunt Branch Library on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Located at 201 South Basque Avenue, Fullerton, CA 92833, this event marks a significant milestone for the community and its commitment to literacy, education, and community engagement.

After undergoing extensive renovations and enhancements, the Hunt Branch Library is set to welcome back patrons with a revitalized space, enriched resources, exciting new programming, and private rental opportunities. The re-opening celebration promises a day filled with fun activities, entertainment, and opportunities for all ages to explore the wonders of literature and learning.

Event Highlights Include:

  • Ribbon Cutting Ceremony:Join City of Fullerton officials, community leaders, Library, and Parks and Recreation staff for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 am to mark the official re-opening of the Hunt Branch Library.
  • Refreshments: Enjoy gourmet refreshments with food trucks, including Taco Miendo and BittieBitez, offering a wide variety of options for purchase. Complimentary snacks and beverages will also be available to guests.
  • Children's Activities: Spark creativity and curiosity in young minds with a variety of children's activities, including arts, crafts, and games tailored specifically for our youngest library enthusiasts.
  • Community Engagement: Connect with fellow community members and discover opportunities to get involved in local initiatives, volunteer programs, and educational outreach efforts.
  • Live Entertainment: Be entertained by the CSUF Jazz Trio, showcasing the talented students from California State University, Fullerton. Enjoy local performances from ArtsOC and the energetic folk sounds of Grupo Folklorico Monte Alban, highlighting our community's rich cultural diversity.
  • Upcoming Puppet Show - "Favorites Stories Old and New": Look forward to an enchanting puppet show by former Fullerton Public Library Children's Librarian Janine Jacobs. This captivating performance will feature beloved stories and new adventures, perfect for children and families.
  • Library Membership and Resource Demonstrations: Explore the library’s offerings with demonstrations of library resources. Visitors will also have the opportunity to apply for new library memberships, opening doors to a world of knowledge and resources.
